Judgment Writing Seminar (2023 Edition)

This annual seminar is designed to assist judges in improving their judgment-writing skills. The program includes lectures, discussions, and workshops that stress the nature of good prose, point-first writing and the special requirements and special challenges of judicial writing.
• Bilingual program with simultaneous interpretation.
• Participation in this program is approved under Section 41 (1) of the Judges Act.

Mastering the Skill of Judgment Writing (2024 Edition)
– Joint program with the NJI

Location: In Person: Toronto, ON
Mastering the Skill of Judgment Writing is an intensive biennial program that will help judges take their judicial writing skills to an advanced level. The seminar features extensive small-group work and individualized feedback on writing problems from experienced judicial faculty and experts on judicial writing.
Participation in this program is approved under Section 41 (1) of the Judges Act.
