Important information for in-person programs
Please find below an important message from our Executive Director Christine O’Doherty about CIAJ’s upcoming in-person programs in the COVID-19 context.
Note that the following measures may be subject to change depending on the circumstances:
Dear CIAJ Program Participants and Collaborators,
We are pleased to be able to welcome you in person again.
I would like to reassure everyone that the health and well-being of all participants, collaborators and staff is a priority for CIAJ. Everything has been put in place so that our in-person programs are held in the best and safest conditions possible.
As provincial public health authorities across Canada have eased or waived COVID-19 related restrictions and mandates, I want you to know that CIAJ is following public health guidelines in the jurisdiction in which the program is offered. In addition, we will continue to:
- work closely with the venues to ensure all safety precautions are in place throughout the event such as: hand sanitizer stations in all rooms, event staff to wear a mask
- ask that participants, CIAJ staff, faculty members and speakers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they have an approved medical exemption
- encourage participants to wear a mask
Of course, if you develop symptoms or have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19, please stay home or participate in the event online when this option is available.
If at any time during the conference you develop COVID-19 symptoms, you must stay home or if you are staying at the hotel, you must stay in your room and take a rapid antigen test. If you test positive, you must follow the self-isolation requirements.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.
Warm regards,
Christine O’Doherty
