Christine O’Doherty, Lawyer

Executive Director

Christine O’Doherty has been CIAJ’s executive director since 2017. A bilingual lawyer, she has expertise in professional, labour and commercial law. Throughout her career, she has played a key role in developing and implementing public relations and government relations strategies for various major organizations.

Ms. O’Doherty has also devoted part of her career to teaching at the Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Pharmacy, where she was responsible for the soft skills curriculum for 1st and 2nd cycle students for fourteen years. Passionate about continuing education, she designs and leads workshops on judgment and decision writing for the legal community and other professionals.

At CIAJ, she oversees the development of specialized training programs aimed at enhancing the skills of members of the legal community, while placing particular emphasis on current issues in the sector. Alongside her professional responsibilities, Ms. O’Doherty devotes her spare time to writing novels.
