Report from CIAJ’s National Roundtable on Criminal Delays—”At the Intersection of Criminal Delays and Professional Ethics”
CIAJ has convened lawyers, judges, legal academics and key organization representatives to tackle the issue of delays in criminal proceedings in the aftermath of the Supreme Court of Canada’s groundbreaking decisions Jordan and Cody. It was decided that a roundtable on criminal delays would be held in four different provinces. The report from CIAJ’s first Roundtable, held in Vancouver in December 2017, is now available.
